Exam Pattern
The recruitment process for the Senior Assistant (Information Technology) position consists of two stages:
- Written Examination (200 Marks)
- Interview (30 Marks)
Only candidates who qualify in the written examination will be called for the interview.
Written Examination Structure
The written examination is divided into two papers, each carrying 100 marks.
| Paper | Subject | Marks | Duration | Question Type |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Paper I | Information Technology & Management + Banking & Organizational Management | 100 | 3 Hours | MCQs + Descriptive |
| Paper II | Information Technology & Management | 100 | 2 Hours 30 Minutes | Descriptive |
Paper I Breakdown (100 Marks)
Paper I consists of both objective and descriptive questions.
Section A: Information Technology & Management (Objective)

- 1 mark each
- Total: 50 marks
- Duration: 45 minutes
This section tests the candidate’s basic understanding of Information Technology concepts.

Salary
It is interesting and motivational to know about the salary for the position you are preparing for. The salary of a 5th-level IT assistant is not available from RBB itself in the public domain. But I have official data on the salary of a 6th-level RBB Officer. It is nearly 81,000 per month. This was before the 21% salary increment.
I am not sure if government banks have increased the salary as per the FY 2083/84 budget, but if they have done so, the current salary of the 5th level should be 81,000 per month.
If not, then it will be 15-20% lower than the officer-level salary.
